The coat of arms of the Municipality of Pietramelara near Caserta displays three bees on a similar honeycomb (
http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pietramelara ).... but commonly the honeycomb is a symbol of a bank in Modena (emilia - romagna). Tha crown is a duke's one and not a town one .... What puzzles me is the acronym " I.C.M.L.W." ..... Honeycomb and bee was also the symbol of the "accademia dei filergiti"....and a honeycomb is also in the coat of arms of pietramellara family that holds the title of marquis....
