Il celebre prof. Jonathan Riley-Smith è divenuto fellow dell'International Commission for Orders of Chivalry, la più alta qualifica della commissione che fu concessa in passato a: Vicente de Cadenas y Vicent, Cecil Humphery-Smith, Szabolcs de Vayaj e Guy Stair Sainty. Il prof. Riley-Smith è considerato il maggiore studioso dell'Ordine di San Giovanni di Gerusalemme.

Unitamente alla fellowship dell'ICOC riceverà durante il Congresso Internazionale di Scienze Araldiche e Genealogiche anche il Premio Straordinario ICOC 2013 (in occasione del sessantesimo anniversario del Congresso di Roma che gettò le basi della nascita della commissione).
Durante il Congresso si terrà un meeting dell'ICOC https://www.congress2014.no/?p=program durante il quale si stabiliranno le basi e le norme scientifiche del I Colloquio Internazionale sulla Nobiltà che si terrà a Madrid nell'ottobre 2015.
