deMarco family from Avellino

I am trying to find the origin of the deMarco family from Avellino. Where they came from and when? The closest I find is the city of Nola but they came recently from Ortanto. My family have been in the comunes of Avellino back in the 1600's

De Marco è un cognome molto diffuso in tutta Italia, essendo di origine patronimica ( derivato da quello del padre: Marco ) quindi quasi sicuramente , ha molti "ceppi" di origine .
Per stabilire l'origine della famiglia che ti interessa occorre fare una ricerca genealogica indietro nel tempo.

Thank you for your reply. I have been tracing the family history back through the centuries. They originated in Aragon and then to Sicily in 1282. from there they migrated to Puglia and into Campania. I currently have one of the largest collections on Italian araldica with over 900 books and manuscripts that I have been purchased over the past 50 plus years from through out the world.

I believe my branch of the family came from Otranto several centuries ago while in the service of one of the powerful noble families.
