I have a silver breast star with cross of Malte ( white enamel), and on back side G.GUCCIONE ROMA, in circle.
Can someone to tell me about this? Is a contemporary? And who is the value?

the best thing to do would be to reply in this room, attaching a picture of the mentioned star.

Being the piece hallmarked by Messrs. Guccione, Rome, means that the piece is of a very recent manufacture.

Essendo il pezzo marcato dalla Guccione, Roma, significa che esso è di fattura molto recente.

Carissimo Elmar, ho alcuni prodotti di Guccione (Via dell'Orso, Roma) che sono di eccellente fattura (ed eccellono anche nel prezzo...). Lei sa quando Guccione ha avviato l'attività? Lui è piuttosto giovane, ma, magari, continua l'attività del padre.

A quanto mi risulta, sono i figli (un maschio ed una femmina), che continuano l'attività paterna.

I think there is no class of true Order of Malta that has a eight-points breast star like this one.
There is a lot of fake St.John's Orders: this plaque should belong to one of them.

It's a very recent piece (20-40 years at most, maybe less).
