di dove... be sono un po Austriaci-Russi - /Pomerania-Curlandia...
riporto breve sunto storico in Inglese... (chi volesse traduzione... mi faccia sapere...però direi che è molto facile!)
It originated from Austria and later on moved via Pomerania to the Baltic. Balduin von Sakken, a baron of the Teutonic Order, participated in the 1205-year crusade. Both Otto and Wedeghe von Sakken were knights of the Livonian Order (mentioned in 1457), whereas Dionisius von Sakken was an envoy of the Order of the Knights of the Sword to the Holy See in Rome (1500).
The ancient family of Osten originated from Pomerania where Ulrich von der Osten was Duke Boguslav's counsellor in 1283. Heinrich von der Osten was Pomerania's Chancellor (1470). In the early 14th century Friedrich von der Osten married Princess Sophy, a daughter of Joan Peaceful, Prince of Rostock. Their descendant Herman von der Osten moved to Kurland in 1479 and married Count Sakken's daughter there. Consequently, he inherited his father-in-law's name and coat of arms and became a predecessor of the family of Baron von der Osten gen. Sakken.
